American Tracking Services ("ATS," "we," "us," or "our") provides electronic monitoring and GPS tracking technology for the criminal-justice and legal sectors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to our website, our applications, and the monitoring services we provide to agencies, courts, and the individuals they supervise.
From website visitors: when you contact us or request a demo, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, company or agency, role, and message.
From platform users and monitored individuals: to deliver our monitoring services, we process account information (for agents, agencies, and courts) and supervision data about monitored individuals. Depending on the program and device, this may include contact and case details, real-time and historical location, device information (such as battery, signal, motion, tamper, and geofence events), check-in photos, certain device-reported health readings where supported, and communications such as messages and call records.
We use information to operate and maintain our services; to support court-ordered or agency supervision (such as curfews, exclusion zones, and check-ins); to generate alerts, notifications, and reports; to authenticate users and secure accounts; to process billing; to provide customer and technical support; to improve our services; and to comply with our legal obligations and lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and operate embedded tools such as scheduling and maps. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work properly without them.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, meet the requirements of the agencies and courts we work with, and comply with applicable legal and record-retention obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, subject to any legal holds.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond appropriately to any security incident.
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing us at data@americantrackingservices.com. Please note that some monitoring records are maintained under the authority of a court or supervising agency and may not be deletable while supervision is active or where retention is legally required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Our website and services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our website. Information about minors who are enrolled in a monitoring program is processed under the authority of the supervising agency or court.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
